This saves me a ton of time and it will for you too if you aren\u2019t familiar with large cuts. I bought two pieces and cut them down to 46 in. x 92 in. since I wanted to put them together (flush) to cover my entire wall. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Per all DIY projects, these measurements will vary with your space. <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 2<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99447 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/homeimprovementblogs.com\/hg-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/e413a4bbc53b35687d1f29ff838c81a8-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"421\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Take your ruler and figure out the spacing that works best for you! Everyone\u2019s taste will be different whether you want the holes to be closer together or not. When you prop it up, simply drill a hole exactly where your X\u2019s are marked, or if you are okay with how close the grid is naturally, make a hole at every intersection.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99451 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/homeimprovementblogs.com\/hg-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/df0f07e15e0aea983cc8a2da82fe6c56-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tip: You can purchase a drill guide or DIY one, which I show you in my <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/G_n25Izdw0k\">full YouTube tutorial for this giant pegboard wall project<\/a>. To find out where I wanted to hang the 2 x 4\u2019s, I measured from the top of my plywood piece and made note of where there weren\u2019t holes. I then measured and marked the same spacing on the wall when I put up the 2 x 4\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><i>Tip: Make sure you have your level handy to ensure all your 2 x 4\u2019s are straight.<\/i><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 8<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99459 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/homeimprovementblogs.com\/hg-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/5cac763b56a47c369e00c1b5d267c60d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please make sure you have a human handy to help you install your plywood. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Place the board up and align it so the beams are hiding into between the holes! Then drill your wood screws into the plywood then into your beams. <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 9<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99460 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/homeimprovementblogs.com\/hg-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/e02525aa77da535780d1b8f475702efa-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"421\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I used wood putty to cover up the screws and then sanded it down once it dried &#8211; it looked flawless! <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 10<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99461 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/homeimprovementblogs.com\/hg-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/a8fe1d3696192e515d794a550ce73fc4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Slide your dowels into the pegboard accent wall and measure where you\u2019d like to cut. Grab some wood (width of your choice) and ensure your dowels are long enough to hold them up. Once I figured out how long I needed these, I cut them on my table saw.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 11<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99462 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/homeimprovementblogs.com\/hg-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cebdedf34ff2ba46c5ae93ffcd9ed327-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99463 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/homeimprovementblogs.com\/hg-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/0f1332a23356defbf2f4943afe3cdfb5-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"421\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hang them up! Have fun with it, get crazy and move stuff around on the pegboard accent wall until you are happy with the placement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter
